Hello and welcome aboard my ship (aka my journal), The Mermaideness! My name is Ada and I am your captain! I am an amateur artist and fanfic writer and this is my corner of the internet to let my fantasies run wild with themselves as I tell my stories to anyone who will listen.

I love classic rock and gay pirates! My favorite bands are Iron Maiden, Rush, and Led Zeppelin. I've written a ton of fanfiction about Robert Plant specifically.

My hyperfixation though is Our Flag Means Death, and has been since I first watched the show back in April-May 2026. I am an Ed Teach sympathizer, Izzy Hands apologist, and certified Canyon dweller. My OTP is EdIzzy/Blackhands but will occassionally dabble in Steddyhands when I want to experiment with healthy relationship dynamics (or if I just want to traumatize Stede Bonnet with their toxic codependent bullshit).

Aside from gay rock stars and gay pirates, I've also been a Legend of Zelda fan since I was four years old. It instilled in me my love of fantasy and adventure, and most of all, inspired my love of writing and storytelling for as long as I have been old enough to hold a pen/pencil.

• I'm Jewish and bisexual. This is relevant because I often incorporate queer Jewish themes into my works.


• I have a biological canine daughter named Abby. Sometimes I'll post pictures of her.

It feels really good to be back here! This will be a place to share both my fics as well as blog about my everyday life. I hope anyone who comes across my ship will enjoy their time here! And to remember: be gay, do crime!
